The Provincial Government of DI Yogyakarta announced the determination of the Provincial Minimum Wage and the Regency/City Minimum Wage of DIY in 2021. The Minimum Wage in DI Yogyakarta has increased from the wages in 2020, this is stated in the Decree of the Governor of DIY Number 319/KEP/2020 concerning the Determination of the Minimum Wage of the DIY Province. Governor's decision to increase the 2021 Provincial Minimum Wage from the recommendation of the Wage Council of DI Yogyakarta, which is the authority of the Regional Head in terms of determining the Provincial Minimum Wage as a safety net in accordance with Government Regulation No. 78/2015 concerning Wages

Along with the determination of the Provincial Minimum Wage, the Governor of DI Yogyakarta also set the 2021 Regency/City Minimum Wage for 5 districts in DI Yogyakarta. From the figures set, the highest Regency/City Minimum Wage is in the City of Yogyakarta IDR 2,069,530, while the lowest Regency/City Minimum Wage is in Gunung kidul Regency IDR 1,770,000.
